The Girls’ Basketball team travelled to Thacher on Saturday, but unfortunately suffered a 53-10 defeat, their worst loss of the season. Needless to say, all of the team members were frustrated with their performance. Senior captain, Nikole Layton, didn’t have much to say on the subject; however, when pressed, she pointed to freshman Alex Jones as the player who had the best game. With eight points, Alex made the most baskets for the Earwigs and is a player to look forward to in the coming years. The girls’ next game is away on Wednesday, Feb. 2nd against Laguna Blanca.
