Baseball Wins Opening CIF Game

The Dunn School baseball team opened the first round of playoffs with a resounding 19-3 victory over visiting Delphi Academy. All 17 Earwig players got into the game and collectively pounded out 20 hits, including two triples by Geoff Billock, two doubles by Connor McMorrow and a double by Joe Eisaguirre. Geoff, Connor and Joe also scored 11 runs. On the mound, Ryan Layton and Jake Harris combined to limit Delphi to seven singles and three runs (two earned), while striking out nine total hitters and walking one. The Earwigs play St. Michael's Prep from Silverado on Tuesday afternoon in an away game at 3:15pm.
